How to Renew a PC’s IP Address

If you are getting the “Page Not Found” error again and again while browsing the internet. You have checked your modem and DSL drive everything is working, than what happened? Don’t worry; the problem is with your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address. These easy steps help you to renew your IP address.

Click on Start> Run.
- Type ‘cmd’ in the Run box and press ‘Enter’. A new window with command prompt appears. It looks like the old DOS operating system.
- Type ‘ipconfig /release’ and press ‘Enter’. Your computer current IP addresses will appear.
- Type ‘ipconfig /renew’ and press ‘Enter’. This will assign your computer a new set of IP addresses.
- Type ‘Exit’ and press ‘Enter’. The opened window will close. Now your PC has a new Internet Protocol (IP) address.
