Android banged Nokia’s Symbian

Google’s Android became most popular smartphones by dethroning Nokia’s Symbian series smartphones in the last quarter of 2010, Nokia’s Symbian series was most famous smartphones since last 10 years.
Research says that phone makers sold 32.9 million Android in the last quarter of last year, compared with Nokia Symbian’s total sales of 31 million. The marker piles pressure on Nokia as it resists to reassert itself at the top end of the mobile phones market.
Following Apple’s 2007 entry into smartphones, Google launched its opensource Android operating system, which is becoming popular in smaller phone makers.
Samsung, LG and HTC helped Android in the last quarter, as Symbian undergo from troubles of its owner and main user, Nokia.

Canals analysts Tim Shepherd says, “We have seen numerous strong products from a number of wholesalers”.
